Almost October! Do you think I’m too late to cover the cranberries?

As usual, summer flew by; October is almost here. I am going to cover my cranberries with some tobacco netting this afternoon. Otherwise the birds will have their way with them.

Until recently, I did not know cranberries can grow in your garden. Bogs are not required.  My two little bushes are merely enough for Thanksgiving Cranberry Chutney and this will be my first year harvesting. I’m very excited! Wish me luck on beating those birdies to the fruit. 🙂
